Rancho El Coyote

Our history

El Coyote Meling Ranch was established by Mr. Salvador Felipe Meling Johnson in 1950 as a cattle raising operation. Since then there have been four generations which continue that tradition. We raise cattle for export to México and the US. We tend to the business just as it was done 100 years ago with few exceptions. You can observe the operation first hand when you come to enjoy this unique and lost in time environment.

In the year 2000 Mrs. Jovita Zaragoza Meling, Felipe’s surviving wife, together with her children, opened the original ranch house and residence to the public as a tourist destination providing full accommodations for camping, cabin reservations and old-fashioned, home made, freshly prepared, cooked on a wood burning stove, melt in your mouth cuisine to satisfy the most demanding palette.
